ProMedia Group started back when VHS was king and filming anything was considered high-falootin‘. Fast-forward to today: ProMedia is Southern Indiana’s leading production firm and full-service advertising agency and a key player in Kentuckiana.
We’ve been there and done that and we aren’t stopping any time soon.

1985
At the request of his wife, Vicki, Dan borrows a video camcorder from a local rental store and videotapes his first wedding. Shortly after, Dan purchases a camcorder. The part-time business quickly expands to producing wedding videos with a 3-camera live-switching system.
1986
Professional Video Taping Services Inc. is founded. Dan primarily videotapes weddings until he lands his first corporate job: a tourism video for the KOA in Clarksville, IN.
1990
Don, Dan’s eldest brother, becomes the companies first employee. David, his next-eldest sibling, joins the company soon after.
1991
Office moves from Dan’s house to an office on Mt. Tabor Road; Dan’s wife, Vicki, joins the company to manage the office and finances.
1993
Professional Video Taping becomes Professional Video Inc.
1995
Professional Video Inc. becomes ProVideo Inc.; ProAudio & ProMedia are introduced; The office moves from Mt. Tabor Road to a 9,000 sq. ft. building on Reas Lane
1997
The umbrella name “ProMedia Group” is introduced; ProMedia Group is recognized as the Small Business of the Year from the SoIN Chamber of Commerce
1999
ProMedia’s expansion from CD-ROM production to website development leads to 8 new employees and a 3,900 sq. ft. addition to the existing building on Reas Lane
2003
Dan begins cinema advertising by working with the Great Escape Theater in New Albany; By 2008 the cinema advertising business expands to over 30 locations nationwide
2009
ProMedia Group begins working with New Albany Floyd County Schools, the City of New Albany, and the City of Jeffersonville to provide social media and video services.
2016
ProMedia Group celebrates 30 years; Digital advertising becomes a pillar of our services; The team grows to 15 employees
2019
OMG! PMG!, our monthly e-newsletter launches, introducing ProMedia’s ProTips and DIY Disaster videos
2020
PMG launches a new website and branding; A worldwide pandemic strikes and PMG adds video streaming services; Don Williamson celebrates his 30th year with the company
